I installed my first "Nomadic Studio" in 2001, during the party that followed my nephew’s baptism. I wanted to keep in image a big part of my family.I hung a big white sheet.I installed my lighting set.My sister and her family in the middle of the set.And one after the other, I invited the families to join and pose for a photograph. Since, "Nomadic Studio" moves in public spaces, private events, gatherings... In every location it gets inspired by the space in which it lands up, or by the people who occupy these places. Through" Nomadic Studio", I try to revive old photographic practices, that appeared at the beginning of last century.Photographers use to transport their equipments, travel to cities and towns to photograph their inhabitants. "Nomadic Studio" capture its images on film, to keep from these moments a real proof. In this studio the subject has no time to think about his pose or his attitude. It’s an instant. An instant of interaction. It’s the instant that records the current memory, of our present. And our past. This practice becomes my way to create albums of the people passing in my spaces and in my times.
